With the Piko H0 DR Class 772 sound rail car with cab control car, you can now experience one of the most popular commuter railcars of the GDR with a factory-installed sound decoder and comprehensive digital equipment. The VT 2.09, later known as the BR 172/772, used from 1965 onwards, shaped the image of the branch lines between the Baltic coast and the Ore Mountains for decades. In the combination with control cars implemented here, there is no need to change trains - ideal for push-pull operation at small stations.

Digital highlight with prototype fidelity

The model impresses with a powerful miniature motor, a clear view through the passenger compartments and factory-installed interior lighting that can be switched separately digitally - both in the driving and control car. The digital train destination display and automatic control car recognition make the model particularly user-friendly. The PIKO TrainSound® sound decoder provides realistic sounds from the traction motor and door opening to the signal horn - for maximum driving fun.

Class 772 - local traffic with cult factor

The VT 2.09 railcar known as the "Ferkeltaxe" was a real all-rounder in GDR local transport. Whether school transport, commuter traffic or weekend excursions - these vehicles were in use everywhere. The control car series from 1964 considerably simplified operation at terminal stations.
