With the Piko H0 AC sound diesel locomotive BR 120 of the DR, you now get one of the most striking freight locomotives of the GDR as a fully equipped AC model with PIKO sound decoder and mfx® function. The locomotive is based on the Soviet M62, whose exhaust noise earned it the infamous nickname "Taiga drum". Between 1966 and 1975, the Deutsche Reichsbahn procured 378 locomotives of this type for heavy freight train service.
The model has digitally switchable cab and engine room lighting (with decoder), detailed bogies and high-quality cab equipment. The factory-installed PluX22 sound decoder with PIKO TrainSound® provides a realistic soundscape - from the engine running to the typical exhaust gas discharge. Thanks to mfx® compatibility, your digital command station (e.g. Märklin CS) automatically recognizes the model.
The Co'Co' locomotive was the backbone of the DR's non-electrified freight service for decades. Robustly built, it was used in all parts of the GDR in front of heavy coal and ore trains - unmistakable and unmistakable.
The model is fully digitally controllable, including light functions, sound and driving behavior. The direction of travel-dependent light change in white/red ensures harmonious train representations in push-pull operation or solo travel.
For Märklin/AC drivers, Era IV enthusiasts, DR fans and digital railroaders who are looking for a powerful locomotive full of character with an original sound. Ideal for heavy freight trains on non-electrified lines.
Get the Piko 52994 H0 AC sound diesel locomotive BR 120 DR - powerful, digital, unmistakable.
