The Piko H0 sound diesel locomotive BR 119 in test run version brings a technical chapter of DR history to your digital model railroad network. The BR 119, also known as the "U-Boot", was manufactured in Romania from the end of the 1970s and was to become the standard in the DR's medium train service. However, many of the first production locomotives suffered from production problems - so the test run in test run livery was an important milestone. This model comes with a factory-installed sound decoder and is immediately ready for digital operation.
The locomotive has detailed bogies, high headlights and eye-catching test run lettering. The factory-fitted 8-pole sound decoder provides prototypical engine sounds, including starting, braking and idling noises. The direction of travel-dependent light change in white/red is integrated as standard and rounds off the operating picture.
The BR 119 was originally intended as a replacement for steam locomotives on branch and main lines. However, it was the later conversion to GDR engines that made it reliable. The test runs were used for series acceptance - a historically and technically exciting chapter.
The model is completely digitally controllable and all sound and light functions can be conveniently called up via a digital control center. Ideal for locomotive fans with a soft spot for the Deutsche Reichsbahn and true-to-original sound.
For DR enthusiasts, fans of rare paint schemes and model railroaders with digital requirements. Ideal for test train scenarios, track trials or simply as a special eye-catcher in any collection.
Get the Piko 52999 H0 Sound Diesel Locomotive BR 119 Test Run DR - sonorous, extraordinary and perfectly prepared digitally.
