The elegantly aproned car body represents the typical design language of the post-war period and was used on many international and national routes. This car with its fine interior design and clear view into the passenger compartment is perfect for model railroaders with a focus on Central Europe.

Stylish design & technical quality

The model impresses with its detailed reproduction, excellent running characteristics and the option of retrofitting interior lighting (PIKO #56135). The NEM coupling shaft with close coupler link ensures reliable coupling and visually appealing train formation. The AC wheelset can also be easily replaced using PIKO #56061.

ČSD apron car - for national and international trains

The Balm car shown here was used on main lines as well as on international express trains. Especially in combination with matching ČSD locomotives, a harmonious picture of historic train compositions of the 1950s and 60s is created.
