The PIKO 54519 represents a typical pressurized gas tank car used by the Polish State Railways (PKP) in Era V. Such cars were used in international freight traffic primarily for the transportation of liquefied gases and chemical products under pressure. The model impresses with its prototypical proportions and is ideal for realistic freight train compositions in Eastern European rail traffic of the 1990s.
The wagon has numerous separately mounted details such as pipes, valves, ladders and handles, which authentically reproduce the industrial appearance of the pressurized gas tank wagon. The harmonious lettering and the restrained color design of the PKP make it a universal vehicle for a wide range of applications in chemical transport.
With a length over buffers of 146 mm and a minimum radius of 358 mm, the car is ideally suited for operation on all standard H0 DC layouts. The excellent rolling characteristics ensure smooth running - even in long freight trains. The car can be equipped with suitable AC interchangeable wheel sets (item no. 56061) for operation on AC systems.
Whether as a single wagon or in a formation with other tank wagons - the PIKO 54519 is an ideal addition for model railroaders aged 14 and over who want to authentically design their freight traffic with PKP vehicles. The model fits seamlessly into train compositions from the Eastern European area of Era V.
