Printed version of the Fc087 self-unloading wagon in the DB AG version in Era V. Construction of 3,551 self-unloading wagons with a two-axle chassis began at the Bundesbahn repair works in Kaiserslautern in 1959. These wagons, which had funnel-shaped superstructures and discharge chutes positioned towards the middle, were intended to transport bulk goods that were not sensitive to moisture, such as coal or gravel. When it became clear that the number built would not be sufficient, the Bundesbahn ordered a further 2,950 vehicles from various wagon construction factories, which were classified as Otmm 64, but were not very different in design from the Otmm 61.
