With the Piko 55924 H0 steam locomotive BR 62, PIKO presents an impressive new design for demanding model railroaders. The compact express steam locomotive of the German Federal Railroad impresses with its compact design, which has been perfectly implemented in the model. In particular, the free-standing boiler in combination with the filigree bar frame and the clear view of the engine give the locomotive a special visual lightness that goes hand in hand with technical sophistication. The wheel spiders, the fine brake linkage and the authentically reproduced prototype details make this model a real eye-catcher.

The fully visible driver's cab with crystal-clear windows allows a view of the elaborately designed rear wall of the boiler and driver's cab. Thanks to numerous die-cast zinc and metal parts, the model has a high dead weight which, in combination with a finely tuned motor with flywheel mass, guarantees excellent driving characteristics. In the Expert Plus version, the BR 62 offers maximum digital functionality: from the switchable driver's cab and engine lighting and the digital flickering of the firebox to the digitally switchable coupler and the factory-installed, wheel-synchronously controlled, pulsed evaporator for realistic steam effects.

The model has a factory-installed PIKO sound decoder with excellent sound quality and extensive functions. The locomotive has a white/red light change depending on the direction of travel and a modern PluX22 interface. The coupler also meets the highest demands: NEM shaft, close coupler link and digital coupler allow maximum flexibility in operation. With a length over buffers of 197 mm and a minimum radius of 358 mm, the locomotive is ideally suited for use on all standard H0 layouts.
