The PIKO SmartDecoder XP - PSD for short - stands for state-of-the-art digital technology with precise motor control, impressive sound quality and maximum reliability. This version is specially designed for the BR 185 electric locomotive and comes with a loudspeaker with a large membrane surface - for realistic, powerful sound on your model railway layout.

Comprehensive compatibility and easy integration

The decoder supports all common data formats such as DCC with RailComPlus®, Motorola and basic mfx® capability. Thanks to Plug & Play, registration with suitable digital control centers is quick and easy. The NEM 658 PluX22 interface ensures simple integration into all common H0 models with a suitable decoder mount.

Powerful motor control and extensive function control

The auto-adaptive motor control ensures smooth, sensitive driving behavior. Individual function assignments can be flexibly implemented with the extended function mapping up to F68. The decoder-internal bidirectional coupling allows sound-dependent control of the motor and function outputs - for perfectly synchronized operating sequences.

Authentic sound for the BR 185

A real highlight is the sound experience with up to 8 channels and a duration of up to 8 minutes. The enclosed loudspeaker with a particularly large membrane surface provides powerful and clear sound reproduction, specially tuned to the BR 185, making every journey an acoustic experience.

Trouble-free operation and durable technology

An innovative power management system protects against interruptions to driving in the event of brief power failures. At the same time, improved temperature distribution in the decoder ensures a longer service life for the electronics. The decoder supports all common braking distance modes as well as ABC slow running and ABC automatic shuttle train control - ideal for demanding, digitally controlled layouts.
