The PIKO 57567 is a detailed replica of the G7.1 steam locomotive in the Soviet Railways (SZD) version. This model for direct current systems offers an authentic appearance with classic features such as a free-standing mounted whistle, a realistically designed coal box and finely crafted running gear with linkage. Thanks to the PluX22 interface, the model can be easily upgraded digitally.
The G7.1 was originally a Prussian freight locomotive that was also used by many other railroad companies in the course of history. In Era III, it was used by the SZD (Soviet Railroad), among others. Its robust construction, simple design and reliable technology made it a proven workhorse on many branch and main lines.
The model has a digital interface in accordance with NEM 658 (PluX22) and is prepared for retrofitting a PIKO sound decoder. The lights change in white/white depending on the direction of travel. The locomotive has four traction tires for optimum traction. The detailed engineer's cab, the functional linkage and the realistic reproduction of the coal box contribute to a high degree of visual authenticity. The free-standing whistle is a further highlight of the fine model design.
The PIKO 57567 G7.1 SZD is ideal for model railroaders who want to authentically represent the Eastern European steam locomotive operation of the 1950s and 60s on their H0 layout. Order now and bring the historic atmosphere of Era III to life!
