Description

About the original: The class 223 was produced as the Siemens ER20 a total of 181 times in the period from 2002-2011. This four-axle diesel-electric locomotive in the medium performance class from the Eurorunner family is primarily operated by ÖBB in a quantity of 100 units. However, various private railroads also use these locomotives for passenger and freight transport.

About the model: One of these private companies is DeltaRail, according to whose design this model was also developed by Piko. In addition to the true-to-original paintwork, the model has an excellently reproduced locomotive body and a large number of intricate details, such as ventilation grilles, grab rails and various running gear details. Technically, it impresses with a powerful motor with flywheel mass, which ensures excellent running characteristics. Equipped with a Plux22 sound decoder, all light and sound functions can be controlled digitally. Thanks to a high-quality loudspeaker, the sounds are reproduced clearly, powerfully and true to the original.
