Pressure variant of the "Esso" articulated tank wagon, used by FS in the Era V version.
At the beginning of the nineties, the first tank wagons were built with a so-called "articulated tank". The boilers were designed in such a way that the two halves of the boiler incline towards the middle by 3° each. As a result, the contents of the tank, mainly mineral oil products, flow out almost completely without any further aids. As the lightweight steel construction vehicles are suitable for higher speeds, they were soon also purchased by other companies throughout Europe. These wagons can be found as P (=private) wagons in the fleet of all European railroad companies.
