With the Piko 59277 SM42 diesel locomotive in the version of the private railroad "Cemet", PIKO presents a powerful model for modern shunting and line service in freight traffic. This version is based on the proven SP42, a classic among Polish diesel locomotives, and has been prototypically implemented for Era VI.
The SM42 (SP42) series is one of the best-known diesel locomotives in Poland. In the version for the Cemet company, the model has the current appearance of Era VI. Numerous finely crafted details such as fan grilles, handrails, flaps and railings make the model a real eye-catcher - not only on industrial sites and branch lines.
Thanks to a powerful motor with cardan shaft drive on all four axles, the model impresses with excellent driving characteristics and reliable tractive power. Two diagonally arranged traction tires ensure a secure grip. The bogies are finely engraved and feature realistic reproductions of spring elements and axle bearings. An NEM 652 interface is available for digitization so that sound retrofitting is possible without any problems.
The locomotive has a white/red light change depending on the direction of travel with LED technology. The striking color scheme and the prototypical shape make the model an ideal addition to modern freight trains on European model railroad layouts.
The Piko 59277 SM42 Cemet combines a modern industrial look, powerful technology and reliable running characteristics. Now available in the model railroad store!
