Description

The PIKO model of the locomotive is the first consistently prototypical H0 model of the DR 130 series. Based exactly on the prototype, the PIKO 130 has the large front and side windows of the first delivery series. Just as typical were the separately attached handrails in front of the driver's cabs and the "tidy" roof. Although the 130 is shorter than the 132 series, it also appears larger and more powerful in the model with its lowered front aprons. The prototypically illuminated side signage is a very special highlight. Model railway enthusiasts will also be impressed by the accurately reproduced, robust bogie detailing, which can withstand the rigors of everyday operation on the model railroad. The motor, equipped with two flywheels, together with the heavy die-cast zinc frame and the elegant cardan shaft drive on four axles (two wheels covered with traction tires in a diagonal arrangement) give the model excellent running characteristics and high tractive forces. As a model of the PIKO Expert line, the BR 130 has close-coupling kinematics and a Plux16/22 digital interface. Retrofitting with sound is prepared.
