With the Piko 59763 diesel locomotive T 679.2, PIKO presents an authentically reproduced H0 DC locomotive of the Czechoslovak State Railways (CSD) from Era IV. The T 679.2 - also known as "Sergej" - impresses with its powerful appearance, technical equipment and high model fidelity. The model impressively conveys the powerful appearance of the prototype and is a real eye-catcher on any layout.

Striking design and robust construction

The separately attached handrails in front of the driver's cabs and the tidy roof design are characteristic features. The lowered front aprons make the locomotive appear more powerful than comparable series despite its shorter design. The detailed reproduction of the bogies is not only visually convincing, but also stable enough for demanding model railway operation.

The use of a heavy die-cast zinc frame, combined with a powerful motor with two large flywheel masses and a cardan shaft drive on four axles, gives the model excellent running characteristics and high tractive power. Two of the wheels are fitted with traction tires (arranged diagonally), which ensures additional traction.

The locomotive is equipped ex works with a modern PIKO sound decoder (PluX22), which offers a wide range of functions and prototypical sound effects. The decoder is fully integrated and ensures a realistic sound experience on every journey.
