The PIKO 94153 is a detailed N-gauge railcar of the type RBe 4/4 1406, which served as a prototype of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) in Era IV. With its characteristic green paint scheme, gold-colored doors and the old SBB lettering, this model brings authentic Swiss railroad flair to your layout. The railcar is factory-equipped with a sound decoder and offers numerous technical features, including switchable interior lighting and detailed interior furnishings.
The RBe 4/4 1406 was one of the prototype railcars developed for regional transportation in Switzerland in the 1950s and 60s. The vehicle was characterized by its then modern technology and the typical design with a single scissor pantograph. The green and gold paintwork with the old SBB lettering is exemplary for the appearance of these vehicles in use on branch and main lines.
The model has a factory-installed PIKO sound decoder with Next18 interface, which reproduces prototypical sounds. The direction of travel-dependent light change in white/white provides realistic lighting effects. The interior lighting can also be switched digitally and is integrated ex works. Two traction tires ensure high tractive force even with longer train sets. The detailed interior design and the clear view into the passenger compartment round off the overall impression.
The PIKO 94153 RBe 4/4 1406 is a must for all N-railroaders with a focus on Swiss railroad traffic in Era IV. With its authentic design, prototypical functions and high-quality technology, this model is a real highlight on any layout. Get it now and put a prototype with history on the rails!
