The PIKO 97140 Corail 1st class passenger coach is a high-quality model from the French express train service of Era IV. The Corail coaches characterized the image of many SNCF trains from the 1970s and stood for comfort, modern design and reliability. These 1st class coaches were part of high-quality national and international train connections and, together with the 2nd class coaches and the luggage coaches, formed the backbone of many express trains.

Prototypical design with a view into the passenger compartment

The detailed view of the passenger compartment conveys the typical upscale interior design of 1st class with generous seat spacing and a clear compartment structure. The fine engravings, neatly finished window sections and the harmonious color scheme with precise SNCF lettering make for a convincing model image. This means that the car can be perfectly integrated into authentic Corail sets of Era IV.

Technically reliable and versatile

With a length over buffers of 303 mm, the car is suitable for use on all H0 DC layouts with a minimum radius of 358 mm. The excellent running characteristics ensure smooth operation, even in longer trains. If you want to use the model on an AC layout, you can easily convert it with the appropriate AC exchange wheel sets (item no. 56060).

Ideal for international trains of the 1970s and 1980s
