Model from the era of high speed

At the end of the 1980s, the PKP needed a powerful locomotive for fast passenger services at speeds of up to 160 km/h, particularly on the route between Warsaw and Krakow. The EP05 locomotives used until then were outdated and only available in small numbers. The solution came from Wroclaw: Pafawag developed the new 104E series, later known as EP09. A total of 47 machines were delivered by 1997 and almost completely replaced the EP05.

True-to-original model with many functions

The model of the EP09 from PIKO depicts the locomotive in the current version of Era VI, including the typical IC livery. Many structural features of the prototype have been taken into account, including metal pantographs, a finely detailed roof section and precise printing. The driver's cab and engine room are detailed and can be separately illuminated in digital mode.
