The striking locomotive is representative of the beginning of the diesel age at the French state railroad SNCF in the 1950s. Historical role model - powerful and reliable

The locomotives of the CC 65000 series, initially designated as type 060-DB, were designed from 1956 for mixed express train and freight traffic. They were used on the non-electrified lines in the west of France - for example between Nantes, Tours, Bordeaux and La Rochelle. Equipped with two engines, these machines stood for modernity, performance and reliability in the transition from steam to diesel operation. Two examples still exist today, including the CC 65001 in the Mulhouse Railway Museum.
