The Piko 97621 1st class passenger coach type 112A is a novelty from 2023 and represents a high-quality printed version of the Polish railroad classic. In the design of the PKP for Era IV, the model impresses with its fine printing, prototypical paintwork and accurate reproduction of the typical features of a 1st class passenger coach from that time.

Prototypical realization and technical details

The H0 model is designed for direct current operation and has a length over buffers of 282 mm. The car also runs safely on layouts with tight curve radii from 358 mm. The coupling via NEM shaft in combination with a close coupler link ensures realistic operation, which enables short wagon transitions close to the prototype and simplifies operation in train sets.

Compatibility and retrofitting

If you want to give the car an even more authentic look, you can retrofit it with the Piko interior lighting (#56284). This makes the model suitable not only for daytime operation, but also for impressive night-time runs on the model railroad. The equipment is aimed at model railroaders aged 14 and over who place great value on prototypical features and functionality.
