Baggage cars are an important part of many train formations and are used to transport luggage and goods. Especially on narrow-gauge railroads like the Fichtelbergbahn, they are an integral part of the landscape and ensure realistic operation on the line.
The model depicts an SDG baggage car as used on the well-known Fichtelbergbahn. The design corresponds to the so-called “Reko” type with its original roof shape, bringing a characteristic detail of the modern era to your layout.
A special feature of this vehicle is the second platform, which was added back in Oberwiesenthal. This gives the model a distinctive appearance and sets it apart from other vehicles of this type.
This model is a brand-new release from 2026. It marks the first time a current prototype has been realized as a model and expands the lineup for narrow-gauge railroads.
The car is ideal for use in authentic Era VI train formations and combines excellently with other Fichtelbergbahn vehicles.
The model is designed for the H0e scale and is therefore a perfect fit for narrow-gauge model railroad layouts. It is intended for use with a two-wire DC system and can be integrated directly into compatible layouts.
Thanks to its highly detailed design, the car is suitable for both operation and display in collections.
