With the Rietze 76134 H0 System Strobel RTW '18, you’ll receive a highly detailed model of a modern ambulance from the German Red Cross—specifically, the Merseburg-Querfurt district association. This model vehicle exemplifies professional emergency rescue operations in rural-urban areas and adds realistic operational depth to your model railroad layout or vehicle collection.
The model is based on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter with a box body from System Strobel, a renowned specialist in emergency vehicles. The distinctive DRK decals, featuring clean lines, reflective elements, and detailed lettering, accurately reflect the actual vehicle design of the Merseburg-Querfurt district chapter. The blue lights, window surfaces, and the typical ambulance body are also rendered in the finest model quality.
This model is ideal for use in dioramas with an urban or rural setting, for depicting realistic emergency response scenarios, or as a highlight in a collection of modern DRK vehicles. Whether on hospital grounds, at the scene of an accident, or in front of the rescue station—the ambulance always cuts a fine figure.
The ambulance was built by Strobel on a Mercedes-Benz chassis and is in service with many German Red Cross (DRK) chapters nationwide. The Merseburg-Querfurt chapter has been using this vehicle type since 2018 for specialized patient transport and emergency rescue. High functionality, safety, and efficiency characterize the original—aspects that Rietze skillfully captures in this model.
At a scale of 1:87, this model pairs perfectly with buildings and diorama accessories in the H0 scale range. Combined with other emergency vehicles or medical facilities, it creates an authentic rescue environment. The ambulance also integrates seamlessly as a complement to fire department or police models.
The Rietze ambulance from the DRK Merseburg-Querfurt impresses with its precision, color accuracy, and realistic design. For model builders and collectors who want to depict modern emergency medical services, this vehicle model offers the highest level of authenticity.
