With the S11003 model, Rietze presents an ultra-modern driving model of the S-Bahn Berlin class 483. The two-part quarter train with car number 483 002 is faithfully reproduced in 1:87 scale (H0 gauge) and impresses with its digital DCC decoder with integrated sound module. The "S45 BER T1-2" line display makes the model a realistic depiction of current train movements in Berlin's Era VI local traffic. This model is a real highlight for digitally controlled model railway layouts - both technically and visually.
The model is based on the current Stadler/Siemens BR 483 multiple unit, which is used in real operation on Berlin S-Bahn lines such as the S45 to BER Airport. It is a two-part quarter train with a length of 420 mm over buffers. It is operated in the direct current system (DC), equipped with a DCC digital decoder. The minimum track radius for operation is 360 mm - ideal for most H0 layouts.
The interior of the model is completely reproduced, which makes the interior of the vehicle appear realistic even when viewed through the windows. The model is also equipped with headlights that are dependent on the direction of travel (2 headlights / 2 tail lights), which further enhances the operating simulation.
The model impresses with its clean and detailed printing in the typical Berlin S-Bahn color scheme (mustard yellow, red, black). The car number 483 002 and the line display "S45 BER T1-2" are reproduced in razor-sharp detail. Doors, window frames and roof structure are realistically reproduced and the finely engraved details ensure a convincing overall appearance both in operation and in the display case.
The integrated DCC digital decoder, together with the sound function, offers an authentic driving and listening experience. Typical operating sounds such as starting and braking can be called up via a DCC control center. The lighting system automatically switches between headlights and tail lights depending on the direction of travel. The combination of digital control, sound and realistic lighting makes the model particularly attractive for technically demanding model railroaders.
