Description

The 2095 series locomotives procured from 1958 onwards formed the backbone of the ÖBB on the diesel-powered narrow-gauge lines for decades. They were used for passenger and freight traffic, especially for rolling stock/rolling stock traffic. The 2095s were used on the narrow-gauge lines of the Ybbstalbahn, the Bregenzerwaldbahn, the Krimmlerbahn, the Waldviertelbahn and on the so-called "Krumpe". The latter was the now disused local line from Ober-Grafendorf to Gresten.
