With the Roco Z21 start newGen starter set, you can experience the model train control of the future: everything works wirelessly via the Z21 app, which is available free of charge for Android and iOS devices. The class 218 diesel locomotive included in the set is a contemporary version of Deutsche Bahn AG's Era VI - accompanied by two matching Intercity coaches on a scale of 1:100, making it a particularly modern and space-saving way to get started with digital operation.
In addition to the locomotive and the carriages, the scope of delivery also includes the latest generation Z21 START digital control unit, a plug-in power supply unit and an original conductor's whistle. The Geoline track system with 12 curved tracks (R3), 7 straight tracks (G200) and a connecting track enables an oval ready for immediate operation with a space requirement of approx. 180 x 100 cm - ideal for starting at the living room table or in the hobby room.
The diesel locomotive is equipped with four powered axles, one of which has traction tires for reliable traction. The three-part LED headlights and the rear lighting change depending on the direction of travel and ensure authentic lighting conditions when running. Thanks to the PluX22 interface and integrated DCC digital decoder, the locomotive is immediately ready for use in the digital system.
The locomotive is controlled exclusively via the Z21 app. This solution is particularly convenient for anyone who prefers to work with a smartphone or tablet.
