All seven cars are delivered fully equipped from the factory. This ensures that the numerous details are already on full display when used on the model railroad layout. The combination of sleeping cars, couchette cars, multifunctional cars, and control cars provides an attractive foundation for prototypical operation.
The cars impress with their elaborate construction featuring numerous separately attached components. The control car front is intricately detailed. Multi-piece car floors with separately attached skirts ensure a convincing reproduction of the undersides of the vehicles. Flush-mounted destination displays on the side walls, as well as the multicolored rear wall of the control car’s cab, round out the high-quality overall impression.
The car set features NEM 362 coupling sockets with close-coupling kinematics. A rigid coupler is also included. This allows the car set to be configured according to the intended train formation. The tight car connection enhances the realistic appearance of the Nightjet train.
This version is designed for analog DC operation. According to the technical specifications, the control car features LED headlights with direction-dependent lighting changes. Standard integrated interior lighting is not specified for this version. Those who wish to illuminate the cars individually should therefore explore options for suitable retrofitting.
