The Roco 6200163 Deutsche Bundesbahn local traffic control car brings the typical "Silberling" with a modern body version and striking design to your H0 layout. The BDnf 735 in the Era IV version impresses with the striking front section of the "Karlsruhe head", orange warning stripes and ocean blue side rails - just like the original, which was used on routes around Freiburg.
The DB n-cars, better known as Silberlinge, dominated local transport for decades. In particular, the conversion of over 200 driving trailers to the so-called Karlsruhe head version in the years 1978-1982 made these vehicles fit for the growing push-pull operation. The coach shown here with 2nd class and luggage compartment was an integral part of local services between Karlsruhe, Offenburg, Freiburg and Basel.
The model is equipped with a function decoder that supports the white/red light change in both analog and digital operation. In digital mode, the train destination display can also be illuminated separately - a realistic detail that is particularly effective for night runs or push-pull train scenarios. The LED technology ensures bright, maintenance-free illumination.
With a length over buffers of 303 mm and NEM 362 coupling with close-coupling kinematics, the driving trailer can be easily combined with other Silberlings and matching locomotives - such as the BR 141 or BR 218. Retrofittable interior lighting (item no. 4000005) extends the possible uses for operating and display case scenes alike.
Whether on the Rhine Valley Railway, the Höllentalbahn or in diesel operation to Breisach and Elzach - this control car brings typical regional local traffic of the 1980s to life on your model railroad. The combination of eye-catching design and functional equipment makes it the ideal driving trailer for typical DB push-pull trains of Era IV.
