The Roco 6200166 class Bnb 719 commuter coach is an authentically designed 2nd class coach from the German Federal Railroad and is an ideal addition to any Era IV Silberling set. With a changed road number to item no. 6200165, this model is perfectly suited for realistic train formations with a varied car formation. The characteristic printing in the peacock's eye pattern and the ocean blue side rails give the car its typical appearance of the late 1970s to 1990s.

Typical vehicle of southwest German local transport

The n-cars - known as Silberlinge - formed the backbone of local transport in Germany for decades. The version shown here with the Karlsruhe - Offenburg - Freiburg train route is exemplary for use in the Breisgau region. The coaches were also regularly used on the Höllentalbahn and in the direction of Breisach and Elzach - often in combination with "Karlsruher Kopf" control cars.

The coach has all the typical features of Era IV: large class numbers, pictograms and the typical DB look with ocean blue side rails. The elaborate printing in a peacock's eye pattern gives the model additional realism. The interior of the car is fully equipped and prepared for the retrofitting of interior lighting (item no. 4000005).

Technically reliable and flexible to use

Thanks to the NEM 362 coupler pocket with close coupling kinematics, the Bnb 719 can be easily integrated into existing train formations. The conversion kit for AC operation is available with item number 40196. With a length over buffers of 303 mm, the car is ideal for use in realistic regional traffic of the 1980s.
