Roco 6280002 4-piece Set 1: Reconstructed Coaches, DR, Era IV. In the late 1950s, the Deutsche Reichsbahn owned a variety of 2- and 3-axle passenger cars of the Länderbauart with wooden bodies. As part of a reconstruction program, the robust chassis of these cars were standardized in length and the worn-out wooden bodies were replaced with welded new constructions.

Initially, a few cars with 4 doors were built as prototypes, but in mass production, only 2 doors were used. Later, the construction of baggage and mail cars was added to the passenger cars. In total, about 3,000 cars were reconstructed or built.Set 1 includes four reconstructed coaches of the Deutsche Reichsbahn: a 3-axle prototype car with 4 doors, type Bage; a 3-axle passenger car, type Bage; a 3-axle goods car, type Bagtre; and a 2-axle passenger car, type Baage.
