The Roco 6280045 two-piece double-decker car set brings authentic local traffic of the GDR era directly to your TT layout. In 1971, VEB Waggonbau Görlitz delivered two prototypes of the double-decker single carriages to the Deutsche Reichsbahn. Due to their positive operating experience, series production of around 138 wagons followed from 1974. These vehicles were used on heavily frequented routes and in conurbations - especially in Berlin's local transport network. There they were given the characteristic red-beige color scheme and became known under the nickname "Sputnik".
