With the Roco 6600223 wagon set, you can bring the typical freight traffic of the Royal Bavarian State Railways from Era I directly to your model railroad layout. The set consists of three different freight cars - an open freight car with brakeman's cab (class Omm[u]), a classic covered freight car (class Gm) and a 3-axle covered freight car. This combination authentically reflects the varied freight traffic of that time and is ideal for operationally oriented layouts as well as historically harmonious display case presentations.
The wagons impress with their prototypical design, precise printing and fine workmanship. Particularly noteworthy are the true-to-original spoked wheels, which emphasize the historical character of the set. Each car contributes to the harmonious overall effect and can be used in short transfer trains as well as in typical local railroad trains - ideal in combination with matching steam locomotives such as the PtL 2/2.
All three cars have NEM 362 coupler pockets with close coupling kinematics. This allows close car spacing and safe operation - even on smaller radii. The set is designed for direct current operation, but can also be converted for alternating current systems with suitable AC wheel sets (item no. 6562 and 6563). With an overall length of 318 mm over buffers, the set remains compact and versatile.
Era I stands for the beginning of organized rail traffic in regional freight transport. This wagon set impressively brings out the historic charm of that time - whether with the open wagon with brakeman's cab or the striking 3-axle wagon, which was designed for larger transport volumes. In combination with historical buildings, railroad personnel and rolling stock, an authentic scene of the Bavarian state railroad can be perfectly recreated.
As you would expect from Roco, this set also impresses with its high-quality materials and careful workmanship. The cars run quietly and reliably, both in exhibition operation and on fully equipped layouts. Manufactured with attention to detail, this set is a must for fans of Bavarian railroad history.
