About the model: The class 56.20-29 (pr. G 8.2) steam locomotive is in the German State Railroad version, is from Era IV, and is equipped with a digital interface. Thus, a decoder can be retrofitted without any problems. The locomotive is driven by 2 axles and 2 are equipped with traction tires. All other details about the model can be found under the features.
About the prototype: The prototype was delivered from 1919. It had an output of 1,023 kW (1,390 hp), weighed 120.4 tons and reached a top speed of 65 km/h. 850 examples were built in total. They usually hauled freight trains. These locomotives were still in service with the Deutsche Reichsbahn until the early 1970s. With the 1970 redesignation plan, they received EDVA numbers. The locomotives retained their road numbers, to which only the control number was added.
