The Roco 7100025 H0 steam locomotive Rh 302 is a detailed replica of the steam locomotive class 302 of the Hungarian State Railways (MAV), based on the original Austrian class 109. The locomotives of the 109 series were originally developed for express train services in the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. With their introduction, the travel time between Vienna and Trieste could be shortened considerably. In 1913, eleven locomotives were built especially for the Hungarian part of the route network by the Budapest machine factory. In Hungary, they were given the designation series 302.
The 302 series differs from the original Austrian series in a number of characteristic features such as angular cladding on the intake pipes, typical Hungarian lamps and the position of the air pump, which is located at the rear left of the boiler.
