Visually and technically a real classic

The locomotive is equipped with a riveted tender, features Witte wind deflectors and has finely detailed spoked wheels. The 3 headlights at both ends of the locomotive use modern LED technology and change over depending on the direction of travel. Only the tender has two additional tail lights - a typical feature of the Reichsbahn version. A special highlight: The cab and engine lighting is already installed and can be switched separately in digital operation.

The class 38 - proven technology in a new home

The 38 2566 locomotive was based at the Leipzig-Süd depot (Halle depot) and was used for a variety of purposes there - from local services to light express trains. As a further development of the Prussian P8, the BR 38 was known for its smooth running and reliability.
