With the Roco 7100048 Rh 85 steam locomotive, you can bring a finely detailed piece of railroad history to your H0 layout. The engine of the Imperial and Royal Austrian State Railways (kkStB) is exemplary of local railway operation in Era I and impresses in the model with elaborate printing, filigree decorative lines and separately applied components - a homage to the railroad romance of the turn of the century.
At the end of the 19th century, numerous secondary railroads were built in Austria to better connect remote areas to the growing rail network. The Rh 85 was predestined for such routes: compact, powerful and reliable. The steam locomotive connected villages, markets and small towns with industrial development and created new lifelines in rural areas.
The model impresses with its precise control system, true-to-original color scheme with fine decorative lines and numerous attached plug-in parts. The superstructure is based exactly on historical models - from the boiler to the driver's cab. The lighting is also prototypical with a warm white LED headlight with direction of travel change.
With a length of only 79 mm over buffers, the Rh 85 is ideal for tight radii from 358 mm - perfect for layouts with limited space or historical branch line scenarios. Two axles are driven and a flywheel mass ensures smooth running characteristics. The locomotive has a PluX16 interface for easy digitization.
The Roco 7100048 Rh 85 steam locomotive brings together the finest model technology and nostalgic railroad romance - a must for fans of Era I and historic local railroads. Now available in the model railroad store!
