The Roco 7110008 H0 steam locomotive 95 0045-5 is a detailed replica of the "Bergkönigin", the most powerful tank locomotive of the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft, equipped with the latest digital and sound technology. With dynamic steam output, authentic sound functions as well as cab and engine lighting, this model sets new standards for model railroads of Era IV (1965-1990).
The class 95 was developed to master steep railroad lines such as the Spessart ramp, the inclined plane or the Rübelandbahn. A total of 45 of these powerful locomotives were built. After the Second World War, the Deutsche Reichsbahn took over 31 locomotives, which were modernized in the 1950s. Numerous conversions, such as the installation of oil main firing and new boilers, increased their performance and reliability.
The 95 0045-5 was stationed at the Reichsbahndirektion Erfurt, Probstzella depot, and was mainly used on the Eisfeld-Sonneberg line. Her last period of service ended in 1981 and she was nicknamed the "Mountain Queen" due to her dominant performance.
The Roco 7110008 combines prototypical design with the latest digital and sound technology. Dynamic steam output, realistic background noise and switchable cab and engine lighting make this model a highlight on your model railway layout. The filigree reproduction of the old boiler without the bell and the numerous separately applied details give the locomotive an impressive authenticity.
The model is designed for H0 scale and a 2-wire direct current system (DC). The dynamic steam output ensures authentic operation, while the integrated sound decoder produces realistic operating noises. The cab and engine lighting can be switched in digital operation and the energy-saving LED light sources provide a realistic change of light in white. With a length over buffers of 174 mm and a minimum radius of 360 mm, the locomotive is very versatile.
The Roco 7110008 impresses with finely detailed metal wheel sets, filigree checker plates and free-standing boiler pipes. The oil tank with ladder and the precise reproduction of the old boiler without bell underline the high quality of this model. The color scheme and lettering are based exactly on the operating condition of the 1970s.
Roco relies on high-quality materials and precise manufacturing techniques for this model. The robust construction guarantees a long service life and trouble-free operation. The faithfulness to scale and the attention to detail make the Roco 7110008 an indispensable part of every Era IV layout.
The locomotive is delivered securely packaged to prevent damage during transportation. Detailed instructions contain valuable information on care, maintenance and use of the digital functions. The model is ready for immediate use and can be seamlessly integrated into existing train compositions.
Regular cleaning of the wheels and couplings contributes to trouble-free operation. Dust-free storage protects the locomotive from dirt and mechanical damage. Spare parts and accessories are available from authorized dealers or directly from Roco.
The Roco 7110008 H0 steam locomotive 95 0045-5 is a masterpiece of model making that combines historical authenticity and state-of-the-art technology.
