The Roco 7110025 H0 Rh 302 steam loc omotive is a detailed replica of the Hungarian class 302 steam locomotive, equipped with modern digital and sound technology. With its authentic appearance and precise workmanship, this locomotive is a highlight for model railroad layouts of eras III and IV.
The original 109 series was developed for express train services between Vienna and Trieste. The Budapest machine factory built eleven units in 1913 especially for use in the Hungarian half of the empire. These locomotives, later known as the 302 series, are characterized by a number of Hungarian features, such as angular cladding on the intake pipes, typical Hungarian lamps and the air pump attached to the rear left of the boiler.
