With the Roco 7110032 steam locomotive 86 1563, Roco presents a form variant of the popular class 86 in a very special version for DR operation in Era IV. The locomotive impresses with large wind deflectors, long cut-out water boxes and is therefore a characteristic representative of the "Usedom variant". As a DC sound model with a PluX22 decoder, it offers an authentic steam locomotive experience not only visually but also acoustically.
The locomotive has a modern PluX22 digital decoder with an integrated sound function that produces true-to-the-original locomotive sounds during operation. The triple LED headlights can be switched digitally and are the perfect visual complement to the model. Digitally switchable cab lighting is also included, which provides atmospheric operating details - especially for night-time driving or shunting scenes.
For the first time, the BR 86 appears with the striking large wind deflectors, which were specially fitted for use in the coastal climate on the island of Usedom. This is complemented by long cut-out water boxes - a detail that makes this model variant special. Fine metal wheel sets underline the high-quality workmanship and at the same time ensure smooth running characteristics.
Locomotive 86 1563 was based at the Heringsdorf depot of the Greifswald depot and thus stationed on the Baltic Sea island of Usedom. It was used there for both passenger and freight services - ideal for model railroaders who want to add a regional touch to their layout.
The Roco 7110032 BR 86 1563 steam locomotive combines historically correct design, excellent digital equipment and a unique appearance. A must for all DR and Era IV fans with a focus on north-east Germany!
