The Roco 7120032 steam locomotive 86 1563 is an impressive version of the well-known tank locomotive of the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR) - especially for use on Usedom. In addition to a visually striking design, this AC sound model also offers extensive digital features for the discerning model railroader. The locomotive impresses with its high-quality workmanship, state-of-the-art technology and unique appearance of Era IV.
The BR 86 1563 is equipped for the first time with the large wind deflectors that were typical for use on the windy Baltic Sea island of Usedom. In addition, there are long cut-out water boxes and fine metal wheel sets that are both visually and functionally impressive. The digital sound equipment is provided by a PluX22 decoder with realistic sounds for AC operation.
The model has digitally switchable 3 headlights in modern LED technology as well as switchable driver's cab lighting. This means that it can also be used authentically at dusk and at night. The integrated flywheel mass ensures smooth running characteristics, even at slow speeds or when changing direction.
The locomotive was based at the Heringsdorf depot, which belonged to the Greifswald depot. There it performed its service on the island of Usedom - a regional highlight for layouts with a northern German connection. Whether local traffic, shunting service or light freight trains - the class 86 was versatile and a real eye-catcher in this version.
The Roco 7120032 steam locomotive 86 1563 combines unique prototype details with modern technology for AC systems. Ideal for DR fans, regional themes or anyone looking for a special locomotive with character!
