Description

Roco 71395 H0 Steam locomotive 38 3713, DRG, Ep. II - Classic P8 in an elegant Reichsbahn design

With the Roco 71395 steam locomotive 38 3713 you get an authentic model of the legendary Prussian P8 on your H0 model railroad. This variant of the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft (DRG) from Era II impresses with its detailed design as an edition model with a molded boiler without draft deflectors. The elegant appearance in the typical color scheme of the transition period underlines the historic character of this versatile express locomotive.

Shape variant with classic Reichsbahn features

The model has a prototypical smokebox door, filigree spoked wheels and true-to-original Reichsbahn lanterns for gas lighting. The absence of wind deflectors gives the locomotive a particularly elegant, clear appearance - fitting for the representation of an early DRG locomotive before the complete conversion to uniform Reichsbahn standards.

State-of-the-art technology and lighting

The locomotive is equipped with a PluX22 interface and offers classic driving characteristics in analog operation. In digital operation, the cab and engine lighting can be switched separately - for a particularly realistic appearance in operation. Two powered axles, two traction tires and a flywheel ensure smooth running and reliable tractive power.

A piece of railroad history on your layout

The P8 was one of the most successful passenger locomotives in Germany. Over 3,700 units were built between 1906 and 1923 - it was considered a real all-rounder for passenger trains and express trains. The 38 3713 belongs to the later DRG series 38.10-40 and reaches a maximum speed of 100 km/h forwards. The model reproduced here shows the typical appearance of the transitional period with olive green boiler and red chassis paintwork, but already with new DRG signage.

A real highlight for connoisseurs of Era II

Whether in use in front of express trains, fast trains or classic DRG passenger trains - the 38 3713 is a real classic for all those who want to recreate an authentic Reichsbahn atmosphere on their layout. With a length over buffers of 214 mm, the locomotive is ideal for realistic operational representations and is a stylish addition to any Era II collection.
