RTB Cargo has had three Siemens Smartron locomotives in its fleet since April 2020. The machines leased from Northrail are mainly used for road logistics transport between Dingolfing and the North Sea ports. All Smartron locomotives are handed over to the owner in a standardized version for traffic in Germany only. Based on the Vectron platform, the Smartron offers customers a locomotive at attractive conditions. Visually, the Smartron differs from the Vectron locomotives in a modified front panel, sliding steps with Smartron lettering and sides without cameras.
