Proven technology in the service of the CD

The T 466.2 series - later renamed the 742 series - was a lighter further development of the T 448 industrial locomotive. It was manufactured in Prague by CKD between 1977 and 1986 and delivered to the then CSD in a total of nine series. The 742 156 shown here belongs to the third series, which is characterized by its ribbed driver's cab side wall and a special buffer beam with door control box - a model with high recognition value!

Fine detailing for the highest demands

The Roco model impresses with numerous attached details such as safety railings, filigree lines and a free-standing view through the driver's cab. The implementation of the typical series features, such as the ribbed side wall or the modified buffer beam, makes this model the perfect addition for Eastern European train compositions of eras V and VI.

Analog operation with digital option

The model has an analog design, but can easily be retrofitted digitally thanks to the PluX22 interface. The 3 headlights depending on the direction of travel and the LED marker lights also provide a realistic effect in analog operation. This makes the locomotive ideally suited for classic DC systems - with the option of digitalization at a later date.

Technically mature for reliable operation

Four powered axles, one of which has traction tires, and a flywheel ensure smooth and powerful running characteristics. The locomotive can cope with radii from 358 mm and therefore adapts easily to any standard layout.
