About the original: The DR V100 is a powerful diesel locomotive that closed the gap between the weaker V60 and the even more powerful V180. The V100 was used in light and medium passenger and freight traffic, but there was also a variant for shunting service. The different variants of the V100 were produced from 1966-85. With a maximum speed of up to 100km/h, they could also be used on steep gradients and main lines. The first V100s were taken out of service by the DR in 1992.
About the model: With this replica of the DR V100, Roco offers a detailed model with many separately applied plug-in parts. The model is driven by a powerful motor with flywheel mass, which drives all 4 axles and thus ensures even power transmission and excellent running characteristics. A factory-fitted Plux22 sound decoder enables digital switching of the various light and sound functions. The sound functions have a clear, powerful and true-to-the-original sound thanks to a high-quality loudspeaker.
