The 2016 series - flexible powerhouse from ÖBB

Between 2002 and 2004, 100 locomotives of the 2016 series were delivered to ÖBB. With an output of 2,000 kW, a top speed of 140 km/h and reversible train capability, it is ideal for both passenger and freight transport. It can also be used on branch lines thanks to its 20-ton axle load. The name "Hercules" underlines the powerful appearance of this modern diesel locomotive.

The model is equipped with a PluX22 sound decoder that provides realistic operating sounds - from the engine sound to the signal horn. The LED headlights (3x white / 2x red) are dependent on the direction of travel and can be switched individually in digital operation - as can the high beam. Finely attached handlebars, windshield wipers, UIC sockets and enclosed exterior mirrors (optionally folded in or out) ensure an authentic look. Color-contrasting brake discs complete the picture. Two axles are driven, two are equipped with traction tires, and a flywheel improves handling. The model is suitable for radii from 358 mm.
