With the Roco 7320094 BR 234 399 diesel locomotive, Roco brings an authentic AC sound version of the class 234 in DR old red livery with DB AG logo to your H0 layout. The model represents the operating status of the years 1994 to 1998 - a transitional period in which numerous DR locomotives with a new numbering scheme and more modern components went into service with Deutsche Bahn.
Equipped with a PluX16 decoder, the locomotive offers numerous functions for AC digital operation:
The model is based on the powerful Reih 132/234 and is equipped with four powered axles and two traction tires - perfect for heavy express and freight trains. A flywheel mass ensures smooth running characteristics and quiet handling even at slow speeds.
The original class 132 was imported into the GDR from 1970. Conversions with 140 km/h bogies from the class 130 resulted in the class 234 in the 1990s. These locomotives were used particularly in InterRegio and InterCity services. The old red paint scheme with the DB AG logo symbolizes the transition from DR to DB AG - a design steeped in history for every Era IV/V/VI layout.
The Roco 7320094 BR 234 399 offers you a powerful model with AC sound, harmonious appearance and ideal equipment for long passenger and freight trains. Ideal for all those who want to bring the transitional period of German railroad history to life on the model railroad.
