Description

The M62 129 diesel locomotive of the Hungarian State Railroad (MAV) in Era IV is a powerful and reliable model, ideal for long trains. The model is finely detailed and has separately applied plug-in parts.

The MAV received the first M62 diesel locomotive from Lugansk in 1965. A total of 288 locomotives followed, which were nicknamed "Szergej" in Hungary. As the M62 locomotives did not have a heating system, an additional heating car was required for passenger trains. Due to the high operating costs and noise generation, the locomotives were later mainly used for heavy freight trains.
