The powerful BR 232 "Ludmilla" from Deutsche Bahn AG - Bahnbau Gruppe is now also available for TT scale in the Roco 7390024 version. The model shows the heavy diesel locomotive in its current railroad construction livery and comes with an integrated digital decoder, sound and illuminated driver's cab - a highlight for all fans of modern construction train scenarios.

Design & finish

The model is presented in the modern design of the DB Bahnbau Group. Particularly striking: the yellow/grey color scheme, the intricate printing and the detailed, multi-colored rear wall of the driver's cab. The locomotive is robustly constructed and designed for heavy construction trains - a perfect combination of looks and performance.

Technology & equipment

With six powered axles (two of which have traction tires) and a built-in flywheel, the locomotive is not only powerful, but also smooth-running. The factory-installed PluX16 decoder with sound allows realistic operating sounds, while the LED headlights and marker lights can be controlled digitally. Direction-dependent light changes and additional light functions increase the prototypical character.

Historical background

The "Ludmilla" class 232 was originally manufactured in the Soviet Union and was used on the German Reichsbahn from the 1970s. Since the railroad reform in 1994, it has been used by the DB Bahnbau Group, among others, where it is still an important performer for the heavy track construction train service. The 232 550-4 was freshly painted in the current house colors in spring 2025 and has now been implemented as a model.
