The striking "Bardotka" 749 214-3 of the Czech State Railways (ČD) is being released by Roco as a detailed TT model with digitally switchable sound and light functions. This locomotive from the third construction series not only impresses with its eye-catching special paintwork, but also with its powerful technology and prototypical implementation - ideal for realistic Era V operations.
The 749 series was created in the 1990s from converted 751 and 752 series locomotives, which were equipped with electric train heating. The aim was to make them more economical to use in front of short passenger trains, while retaining the robust design of the original locomotives. The 749 214-3 is an example of this modernization and is in mixed service throughout the Czech Republic.
The model shows the typical design of the third construction series with beaded side walls up to the edge of the roof. The high-quality printing in special paintwork makes the locomotive a real eye-catcher. The LED headlights depend on the direction of travel and can be switched in digital mode - as can the sound functions of the integrated decoder.
A 5-pole motor with flywheel mass, four powered axles and two traction tires ensure reliable tractive power. The Next18 sound decoder offers realistic soundscapes and light control - for a real driving experience in everyday model railroad life.
The Roco 7390026 diesel locomotive is the perfect choice for anyone who wants to combine Czech railroad tradition with digital technology. A highlight for all fans of Era V and a must-have for ČD collectors!
