Description

This car set includes three express train cars for the German Federal Railroad's Eurocity 24 "Erasmus" in the multi-voltage version. The models each have separately applied grab irons and finely detailed bogies.

History: For the 1987 summer schedule, new quality standards were set for the cross-border InterCity trains with regard to car stock, speed, and service. Trains that met these criteria were given the designation "EuroCity". The EC 24 "Erasmus" connected the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck via Munich and Frankfurt am Main, then along the Rhine via Emmerich with the Dutch capital Amsterdam. The cars in this set are part of the regular section of the train and were used on the complete running route.
