Description

Based on Bombardier's TRAXX MS2e platform, this locomotive offers many variants and thus perfectly meets the interoperability requirements of rail freight transport in Central and Western Europe. It can be operated on all European power networks. Since January 1, 2021, the RAlpin "Rolling Highway" Freiburg im Breisgau to Novara Boschetto has been hauled by class 186 locomotives. The 186 909 is the only locomotive on the SBB side to feature the eye-catching "Nightpiercer" design, which sets it apart from the other locomotives.
