The Roco Re 486 501-0 electric locomotive from the Swiss railroad company BLS Cargo is an excellent replica of the TRAXX F140 MS2e locomotive, which was designed for cross-border freight traffic across the Alps. In September 2007, BLS Cargo was the only Swiss company to order ten TRAXX F140 MS2e locomotives, including the Re 486 501-0, which were specially developed for use across the Alps and for cross-border freight traffic in Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Italy. The locomotives are equipped with the necessary equipment for operation over the new Rothrist - Mattstetten line and the Lötschberg Base Tunnel. The Re 486 501-0 is the only model in the series to bear the Beura Cardezza coat of arms and reflects the new BLS design, which was first realized in 2022 with the 486 510 locomotive.
